Press Release • January 8th, 2025

LiveDrop, a leader in secure offline data transfer technology, today announced a strategic collaboration with Intel Corporation to launch an updated version of its software protocol. This latest innovation delivers a high-performance, energy-efficient and intuitive solution for OEM customers, enabling secure, air gapped, offline communication on Intel-based notebooks. The updated version will debut at CES 2025, with availability starting on February 1, 2025.

Eindhoven, January 8th, 2025 – LiveDrop, known for its groundbreaking offline data transfer protocol, has partnered with Intel to optimize its software for OEM integration. The collaboration enhances data transfer performance using Intel’s integrated GPU and Neural Processing Unit (NPU), providing OEM partners with a comprehensive, out-of-the-box solution to deliver secure, offline data-sharing capabilities directly on their devices.

Notebooks with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors are equipped with advanced GPUs and NPUs, providing the hardware acceleration needed for high-speed data transfer while conserving power. The fully offline nature of LiveDrop’s protocol means no network connections or RF signals are required, ensuring a secure, interference-free experience that’s ideal for areas where regular communication protocols are not available or not wanted and in high-security environments. This technology is cross-platform and cross-device simplifying file transfers for end users between Windows, iOS and Android and offering a versatile feature that OEMs can implement seamlessly.

Optimized specifically for Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, LiveDrop’s protocol offers OEMs a robust solution for integrating secure, offline data transfers. In addition to the OEM-focused enhancements, LiveDrop introduced recently an SDK for third-party developers, enabling them to incorporate this solution into their own applications, creating a wider ecosystem of offline, secure data solutions.

Proven use cases highlight LiveDrop’s real-world impact: In Healthcare, LiveDrop has made it simple to transfer sensitive patient data securely between devices, addressing privacy, security and interoperability challenges. In Defense and Cybersecurity, LiveDrop has been used to extract data from highly secure networks, providing a safe and efficient transfer method where traditional solutions fall short.

"At LiveDrop, we see a huge opportunity for OEMs to offer their users a secure and efficient offline data transfer experience. Our collaboration with Intel allows us to deliver a technology that meets the needs of both performance and security," said Patrick Moreu, CEO at LiveDrop. "OEMs can now provide this advanced feature seamlessly integrated into their Intel-based AI PCs, benefiting from Intel latest hardware advancements."

"The demand for offline, secure data transfer is surging, with 2024 revenues exceeding $2 billion (1)," said Carla Rodriguez, Intel VP. "LiveDrop running AI on Intel Core Ultra-powered AI PCs
offer a more secure and user-friendly solution for enterprises and OEMs. We encourage customers to try this innovative AI based file transfer method."

LiveDrop’s updated software, optimized for Intel hardware, will be showcased by Intel at CES 2025, where OEMs and developers can learn more about the technology.
